Leychequers was a small sloping site situated on the popular Taplow Riverside development. The highly successful garden designer Sarah Naybour provided the plans and oversaw the build with ultimate control over the planting.
Soft tones of the Kandala grey sandstone were used to extend the existing patio and paths and used in both sawn and riven versions. Random widths of Western Red Cedar slats were used to create a striking effect, covering the existing rather mundane fence panels with stainless steel tension wires. These provided a more attractive and adequate support for a multitude of climbers. A thick panel of mild steel was used as the retainer in terracing the steeply sloping garden and to give rise to the opportunity of a lower sun drenched seating area.
This garden was installed with both an automated irrigation system with rain sensor and a remote controlled lighting system offering an ambient light source for evening entertaining.
